Big Apple Convention Announces Free Comic Book Convention with Top Celebrities to Celebrate 10 Years of Fun!

Soupy Sales, Joyce Randolph, Melody Anderson, King Kong Bundy and more will be present as Michael Carbonaro, founder of the Big Apple Convention, hosts a special, fan appreciation convention on Friday January 19 from 1-8 PM, and Saturday, January 20 from 10 AM – 7 PM. The Big Apple Convention is New York’s longest-running comic book/sci-fi/fantasy/pop culture convention, having grown steadily since its inception in 1996. In appreciation of 10 years of support from the fans, admission will be free! There will over a hundred dealers selling comics and collectibles, and free comics and other giveaways all weekend!

This Big Apple Convention will take place in the Penn Plaza Pavilion at 401 7th Ave at the corner of 33rd St., across the street from Madison Square Garden and Penn Station. More information about the convention can be found at the website http://www.bigapplecon.com

The extra-special guests for this convention will include TV celebrity and comedian Soupy Sales, Joyce Randolph (The Honeymooners), Melody Anderson (Flash Gordon), Karen Lynn Gorney (Saturday Night Fever), King Kong Bundy (WWE), David Harris (The Warriors), Cathy St. George (Playboy Playmate), Ron Pallilo (Horshack, Welcome Back Kotter), Kane Hodder (Jason, Friday the 13th series), Tom Morga (Jason, Friday the 13th V; Mike Meyers, Halloween 4; Leatherface, Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2), Warrington Gillette (Friday the 13th II), Jack Marks (Friday the 13th 2), Kevin Blair Spirtas (Friday the 13th VII), Conrad Brooks (Plan 9 From Outer Space), Sammy Patrillo (The Brain That Wouldn’t Die), and Lewis “Twitchels” Centanni and Big Kev of the Opie and Anthony Show.

And of course it would not be the Big Apple Convention without special guest comic book artists and writers of the cutting edge and living legends, including Bill Sienkiewicz, Dick Ayers, Rich Buckler, Arnold Drake, Irwin Hasen, Jim Sallicrup, Danny Fingeroth, Alex Saviuk, Tommy Castillo, Ian & Guy Dorian, Mark Texiera, Buzz, Mark Sparacio, Jamal Igle, Louis Small, Jr., and dozens more!

There is a very special schedule of panels and special events planned for the convention, including the spectacular Costume Contest hosted by Captain Zorikh and Jolie Voltaire, as seen on Comedy Central and theNurseryTV.com!
