  • Hello. What a mine of information. No wonder I have always been so confused by the seeming duplication of names in both Bristol and London. However, I was once in contact with a person who was shipped to Australia I think, from London, with the surname Stook so that difference might help to define them. From Pam King. • My great Grandfather was William son of Thomas. The reason we decided theparticular William washim, was him, was because if the birth dates which appear correct. However he was living as a boarder later with no family given - so still unsure. P J King In a message dated 9/18/2017 1:04:45 A.M. • Hello- re. Christiana Stooke . I had a lot of this branch researched already but not sure if it's linked to Bristol. The shoe maker would have been listed as "cordwainer?" It will take me a while to read it all, but I do know that this family adopted several of the brother's children, hence such a big family. And more Stooke Pubs? Amazing. Pam King

  • The William that married Susannah Preece was in Bath when they married, and her birthplace was in Shropshire where she had her eldest son Thomas. I suppose he could have been in Plymouth; but I had assumed that was the William who plied the ocean and the Teign with Queen of the Teign, (2 children being born at sea). A William from that ranch did go to Liverpool, and the family...
