Burners,  This parade is another super awesome creative experience in St Louis brought to you by the growing creative collective force of Cherokee Street.  I highly reccomend you volunteer if available.  I'll be there, but I have another Parade related committment.

First off, thanks to everyone working so hard to pull all 20 or so of the People's Joy Parade bootstraps up so it launches next week!  (That's a lot of boots!)

Jenny had mentioned we have some folks who have committed to help wait at the street barricades along the parade route.  I believe we need 20 or 25 total, and Jenny needs help getting firm commitments and contact for these volunteers.  It should only be a hour-long commitment, and some of them would be given radios I think.

If you know of anyone who has expressed interest, even if telepathically, in directing traffic @ a barricade, could you respond to this thread with their contact infos?

Also, Lohr suggested anointing various titles to volunteers in the course of street barricade duty, maybe even print them on custom badges?

      Some alliterative Ideas:
      Sultan of Streets
      Baron(ess) of the Boulevard
      Left-Turn Lawspeaker
      The Mirza of Medians
      Streetwise Syndic
      Drive-thru Dauphin(e)

P.S. Lawspeaker is an old Scandinavian legal office.
