Steve eyes Small Screen
Steve is meeting with TV studios to discuss a pilot he has
written and would likely produce: "Word is the undertaking
would also involve Joan Stein, a producer of Martin's play
'Picasso at the Lapin Agile.' She declined to confirm
anything. Other sources said Martin might want an overall
deal to create TV and produce and write films as well,
though it's unlikely he'll appear in any series."

New Novel and Movie
Variety reports that following up on the success of 'Pure
Drivel', Steve has written a new novel titled 'Shopgirl'.
In a short interview Steve talks about his writing as being
motivated by fear: "I suppose one reason I've focused on my
writing is that I dread being an actor who passively waits
around for that perfect part". Steve is also working on a
new movie called 'Novacaine', in which he will play a
dentist who becomes a murder suspect after a sexy patient
seduces him into prescribing her drugs.
