      Happy new year to all.

This comet is visible in these images from the SECCHI.NRL site.
They are available before the release of the FITS images on the NASA
STEREO site. Oh no! I had to to a 'save picture as' right mouse click.

Karl, is there to be a download site avaiable. the NASA verions of
these image do not show the same level of details.

I have looked at the HI2a images available here also. Both comets
Tuttle and Wirtanen are detectable, along with the brighter asteroids.

        Hi Alan,

I'm not sure exactly what your question is... Are you looking for an
alternative website for downloading FITS images? Or are you looking
for somewhere else to download the processed "pretty" pictures?

        Happy New Year, everyone!!

          Gidday Karl,
Just like to point out that your images on the Secchi site are very good and show faint moving objects very well.
I can see asteroids in HI2a that have apparent mag of 11-12, Victoria for instance.

As I type this the Secchi site has the full list of images for 20071230, and the Nasa site is missing the last four hours.
So a look ahead situation is apparent again. Yes I understand that they are several days behind SOHO. But bright comets can be seen that far out.
The display interface on the secchi site is good, but if one has to display and save each image individually, then so be it.
Is there a location that can operate a bulk or packaged download of all of these good images?
          or
Can the Nasa site be given these good quality images for the image search tool?

Leave the Fits images available as they are now. They have the positional info the header need for software like DS9 and STARJAVA  - SOG

          Kind regards, Alan.
