Hi Pauline, could you please tell us more; do you have a quote by Steiner about socialism in this context, and what is the 6th epoch?
There are many debates out there in the anthro circles as to what exactly IS the struggle of 1999. My Foundations teacher believes Bush is the 'Beast' for example, and had the whole class in agreement with him! He explained in detail a consipiracy theory about him getting into power. I was the ONLY skeptic in the whole class, and someone even called me; 'narrow-minded' for not buying this theory.
******This is what has held back our movement and cost it credibility, the leftism read into everything Steiner said. He spent years condemning materialistic Marxism and showing how it sedued the masses to the degree that they could think only materialistically, and then people try to make him into a Marxist. Sad.
I'd certainly like to hear responses to what Steiner said about 1998 and the Sun-Demon Sorath. Who do you think these wild men are he spoke of with mindless fury, seeming almost not human?
I think it's a sign of how divorced from reality people are that some will answer President Bush or Colin Powell or John Ashcroft, not Mohammed Atta. Shows how successful the brainwashing by the Opposing powers has been, I'd say.
A simple thing to keep in mind is that, when you are being critical and condemning, higher knowledge is silent (first lesson in Knowledge of the Higher Worlds). So, anyone, even if he calls himself an anthroposophist, who starts ranting and raving about Bush being the devil, is not speaking out of higher knowledge, by definition.
I don't think, on the other hand, that it's being unduly critical to deplore folks that fly planes into office buildings to kill thousands of innocents.
