A question for the peanut gallery

So imagine, there was a race of humanoids who lived long ago.  They were giants, and they were cruel.  Think Klingons if Klingons averaged 8 feet tall and 700 lbs. The Filisnet.

They developed a fast-travel method - a "Wormhole nexus". This creates an artificial wormhole between two points.  Once created the wormholes are stable and stay put.

So the Filisnet used relatively normal warp drives to explore and stuff, but when they developed or conquered a new world, they'd create a wormhole to it.  That way, ships, shuttles and cargo could almost instantly pass from one system to the other.

At some point, someone got *real* mad at the Filisnet. They did something that all but wiped the Filisnet out, leaving abandoned ruins and the wormhole nexus.

What could do that?  What method would these very angry people use to exterminate the Filisnet with extreme prejudice?
