I'm pleased to report that at least here in Waco,Texas, the Wal-marts are carrying all the new ST paperbacks. Was shopping at one the other day and ran across the aforementioned "Left Hand of Destiny" as well as "Garth of Izar","SCE:Some assembly required" and Greg Cox's "The Eugenics Wars,Vol2".
My strategy is before they disappear from the shelves to put as many as I can in layaway, which what I did for 3 of them but I snapped up "Eugenics Wars" immediately ,having waited long enough to get to Vol 2. Its almost irony when they released that one, considering the conflict in Iraq. Target here isnt as good for Star Trek books and Kmart is closing here and they only carried them sporadically. I hope WM will carry the The Voyager Companion when it comes out! Thats a definite BUY!
Live long and prosper,

Subject: [Star Trek Books] Re: Left Hand of Destiny hits some stores
I went to Walden books in the local mall today and inquired about The
Left Hand of Destiny amd Some Assembly Required. The books weren't on
display, but the salesman told me that they had them in the back and
proceeded to dig them out for me. Awesome!
Now I have to decide on whether to finish my new/used copy
of 'Otherwere' B4 starting new Trek, and which Trek I'm gonna read
I wish all decisions had choices like this.

personal favorites. Though being a favorite would inherently imply
being a personal favorite, I guess I needent qualify it as a personal
favorite now would I? And I'm pretty sure I misspelled needent - or
made that word up. It sounds pretty cool when I say it though.
