If it wasn't for the Typhon pact books at the end of the year, this would be
an irredeemable year for Pocket Books Trek(at least for arvid fans). For
folks just getting into the lineup it probably doesn't matter much.

I'm just saving up trek books like Synthesis and Romulan War to satisfy that
      part of my reading repertoire.

I was just over at Trekmovie.com and they have an article up there (from
March 3, 2010) about Simon & Schuster's plans to launch a new series of Star
Trek books, with 2 novels, aimed at young adults, that take place in the new
Star Trek movie timeline on November 16, 2010.

Trekmovie also reports that Rudy Joseph has been confirmed as the author for
the first book to be released under Simon & Schuster's Simon Spotlight
      brand.

They've also got a more complete release schedule for 2010 through to
January 2011, including a mass-market reprint of the 2005 Michael Jan
Friedman novel "Death In Winter" in December (which was reprinted in
      mass-market in Septbember 2007).
