the Bajoran Resistance against the Cardasian occupation had an
incredible lack of it. And I have to agree with the review - way too
many characters, and way too much development of some that have
nothing to do with what we already know about the resistance.
Character development is certainly important; what I love about
Stephan King is that he develops his characters so well that I feel I
know them. But a trilogy (at least the 2nd and 3rd parts thereof)
should not be one long string of character development and a
smattering of action, when its subject is a military occupation and
Forged in Fire is decent so far, but I wish it would tell the story in
linear time, not jumping back and forth repeatedly.
