Group Description

The StarLite, a Mark Brown-designed composite aircraft, was marketed in the 1980s as an inexpensive single-seat sport plane available as conventional or tri-gear. It was featured by KITPLANES magazine in December '86. Powered by a 43 hp Rotax 2-stroke engine, it provided a cruise speed of over 100mph at only 2.5 gph. While new kits are no longer available, parts can still be obtained and a support group of builders/owners is still active, keeping the dream alive.
