        That is probably the right answer but couldn't it be possible that Enterprise E in going after the Borg in Star Trek 8 contaminated the time line and even Kirk's ship will be different than the one we have come to love. And then there is Enterprise D and E that might have to be renovated as well in the new time line. Gets me dizzy this time paradox bisness.

              Enterprise D is a Gallaxy class starship designed for exploration and to hold families aboard her. It is a bigger more luxurious ship than E though not quite as powerful. Enterprise D was Picard's second ship as captain.

                  Picard was Captain of the E and the E.


                  Enterprise's Enterprise is just The Enterprise. It is pre-Federation
                  and doesn't count at all.
