Virus-free. www.avg.com - Very cool. The show seems to have less stupid humor each week and more "meat" to the story. What did you think of what the doctor did to get away? Did he deserve it?Jeannie

Virus-free. www.avg.com I was thinking the same thing; there does seem to be less of the ridiculous humor
each week, and I hope they keep up this direction of the show.
I was bothered that the doctor killed her "host", without trying to talk him into letting
her go. She could have promised to take him with her on board the Orville to another
planet, at least until they could do something about the disease on his planet.
Then, she told her son not to shoot to kill, because we have respect for life. I thought,
what? She would say that, after what she did?
It was an interesting episode, though.

- I agree, I was bothered too that she killed him. He was a scary dude and was keeping her captive but killing him seemed pretty drastic. Also the boys were something else. Lol. I like her character very much and have been enjoying the show a lot.Jeannie

- Seems to me she tried to talk her way out a number of times. She didn't have access to a weapon with a stun setting, and probably didn't know what the pistol would do. But it was clearly him or her.KAJOn Mon, Nov 6, 2017 at 6:02 AM, rob_easom rob_easom@... - [ATA]She tried to escape without killing but she didn't have any choice. And yes, they seem to have stabilized the humor at a an acceptable level, like the glory hole bid..On Sun, Nov 5, 2017 at 11:32 PM, Jeannie Nickismom1228@... each week, and I hope they keep up this direction of the show.
[ATA]But bear in mind that that is the gimmick of the show, light humor as if we were watching actual interaction among a crew with humans with colorful pasts. The ideo would be to keep it low and balanced.

her go. She could have promised to take him with her on board the Orville to another

[ATA]Perhaps you missed precisely the part in which she asked about letting her go and telling the guy she might be able to find a cure. She talk to him and he didn’t want to hear it.
she told her son not to shoot to kill, because we have respect for life. I thought,>>>>Then,
what? She would say that, after what she did? It was an interesting episode, though.
[ATA]That is what makes the show believable because we might want to uphold some principles but when your own life is at stake the color of the mirror you were looking thru at life, suddenly changes. Because remember she shot the guy because he was to kill her.
bothered too that she killed him. He was a scary dude and was keeping her captive but killing him seemed pretty drastic.>>I agree, I was
[ATA]But, do you really think he was not going to kill her? Because the way the scene was playing he didn’t seem eager to keep her alive. I think that is what her face was showing, she was really fearing for her own life.

the orville reminds me a little of the subtle humour in tng. Bad news i can only view it online as fox uk do not have it>>>>I quite like
[ATA]That has been the point so far. But the humor is a little more mundane hich so far they have kept it in at an appropriate level.

- {ATA]That is a good observation. She fired what she had at hand. I think she knew the chnce of killing him but she didn't seem that just stopping him ould've been enough for her to escape. So ay the tend as you sad, she as left with only one choice, him or herOn Mon, Nov 6, 2017 at 10:16 AM, AJ Ca n1684t@... - [ATA}Well, Another good episode and no, no phallic shape star-ship. The series still showing is a good one well done. The conversation between Mercer and Malloy at the end of the episode shows why the show seems so well carried while being a trek-homage. A conversation that was real, with real emotions and words for a non-official conversation.
