I got the Double Helix novels a few months ago and love the crossovers
especially the one with Pulaski working on Terok nor to cure the virus
between the cardassions and bajorans. However One saga I wasn't keen on was
the Gateway Novels the last book that had what happened when they went
through was really dissapointing. the Calhoun one was the only one slightly
      interesting.

If you like Captain Kirk meeting Picard there is loads now From the Return
(Set After Generations) To Captains Honour and quite a few times he has
worked with Picard and also has fought against the mirror universe
      counterpart.

find out how the whole things started) should be considered New Frontier
        books as well.

          Hi,
          Check out "Federation"
          by Judith Reeves-Stevens, Garfield Reeves-Stevens

          Loved it!!

Also some more of my All-Time-Faves:

*Tales from the Captain's Table---Stories straight from the Skippers'
          mouths!!

*Star Trek Enterprise Logs: Carol Greenburg(editor)---- Great tales of
six different Enterprises throughout history from 1700's-2300's...but
written prior to UPN's Enterprise :(

*Ship of the Line by Diane Carey
(all of Carey's and any books by Diane Duane, Michael Jan Friedman,
Peter David; 3 great writers of Trek)

          There's just TOO MANY!!!!!!!!!!!

          On "Federation"....
From Amazon.com: "Trekkers will love this novel's premise: The crew
from Star TrekR: The Next Generation crosses paths with the original
Star TrekR crew when they all fall into some sort of time warp.
Publication is timed to coincide with the release of the next Star
          TrekR movie.
At first chapters are confusing and this book most definitely
requires an avid prior Star Trek fan familiar with both new and old
generation episodes for maximum understanding and impact: those with
such a background will appreciate the complex interactions between
past and present when a natural phenomenon brings together very
different Trek protagonists from different times."

Check out Amazon.com for more Star Trek book reviews and lists of fave
Trek books by fans, a great resource to peruse the premises of the
          stories before comitting to one.
