Group Description

The oldest stacking games are Bashni (Russia, before 1875), Tour de Hanoi (1883), Diplomaten-Spiel (1895), Neue Dame (1904), Reve's Puzzle (1907), Lasca (1911) and Tricolor (1930). After the invention of the classic abstract strategy game Focus (1963) by Sid Sackson, an ever growing number of stacking games was designed such as Abande, Byte, Dvonn, Plateau, and Pogo.

Come and discuss the rules, tactics and strategies of these fascinating games! We are interested in traditions associated with older games and we also want to know more about the authors who created them and the top players.

Differences of opinion are perfectly okay as long as participants can remain courteous.
