  • The connection could also have been the Rayner family or Heber, I have not found these surnames in the slave list, so I am not sure how to proceed to find out if they were ever on the island! Any help appreciated! Thanks Christine

  • Hi everyone! I am researching my relatives who were said to have originated from St Helena! They were possibly slaves or freed. I have the names Charles Heber and Clara Heber. I am not sure if they were born there or if it was their parents! Does anyone know how I can find out more, or have any links to help me out? Thanks so much for your time! Kind regards Christine Weaver

I have been googling to check if there were any major earthquakes during that time, just wondering if I understand the term "Tuesday the 17th instant". What do you think?
