This email reminded me to ask about access to Isaack file that was available from link in St. Helena site. Is there an alternative way to this information. One of my Le Breton relations married into Isaack family.

Just some random facts of information which may be of some interest to all those chasing the Thomas family history.  This is information that I have uncovered in my search for Hamilton family history from St Helena to Melbourne Australia.

Sutton Isaac 9/9/1689-- 24/5/1738 born St Helena.  Married Penelope 1683---20/9/ 1747 born St Helena.
      Child from this union.
Sutton Isaac 1716-13/8/1798 born St Helena.  Married Ann Sutton 1723---?  Born England.
      Child from this union.
George Isaac 1762--?  Born England married Susanna Short 1773-1835 born in England.
      Child from this union.
James Isaack 22/7/1799--- -24/12/1884 born England married Harriet Thomas 1803 England.

Claire Thomas married George Seale 13 August 1832
Mary Thomas married John William Seale 6 September 1834.
      Sarah Thomas married John Seale

The three Thomas girls mentioned above I believe were all married on St Helena.
I hope this information is of some interest , and is not merely a duplication of known facts.

If any reader has any snippets of information regarding the Hamilton family I would be most appreciative of their assistance.
      Regards to all.
      Rob Hamilton, Melbourne Australia.

        Hi Rob,

Do you know Arthur Harris. He lives a little way out of Melbourne but spends a lot of time at GSV.

Connection is more Arthur's than mine although we are both related to Le Breton family.

You will have noted quite a bit of activity from me and Deirdre Blunt also of Aussy about our search for details of Captain John Le Breton and his eventual wife Elizabeth Newton. Our connection is thru Elizabeth's father John Newton who for second marriage chose Martha Isacke or however you spell it. Have also seen with two a's. Known details are as follows:

1806 June 2         mar       John Newton, widower & Martha Isacke, spinster

1807 Mar 16        bapt       William, son of Mr Newton (and presumably Martha)

1807 Mar 21        mar      Capt J Le Breton, bachelor & E Newton , spinster (our rally plus daughter of John above from earlier marriage)

1809 Feb 21          bapt      Martha, dau of John and Martha Newton

1811 Oct 7            bur       Mrs Newton, native (Martha nee Isacke I presume)

Hope this makes sense. Look forward to any help you can give.

        Regards
