This is a group for all the Alumni of the Srishti School of Art Design & Technology-Bangalore.Srishti was founded in 1996 by Ujwal Trust – pioneers of the highly-respected Aditi School in Bangalore (now the Mallya-Aditi International School) way back in 1989 to address the need for quality education at all levels in the region. Srishti was visioned as a centre of quality art & design undergraduate education serving south India. In less than a decade, Srishti has evolved into an internationally-renown “community of learners” comprising 150 students and 25 full-time faculty – and the only one offering art & design education under the same roof in India. Srishti has initiated a community of technical & research institutions, art & design institutions and government & non-government organisations at both local and international levels. Today, Srishti is a multi-faceted academic enterprise seeking to investigate new, effective and creative ways of adding value to society. Srishti’s primary service is providing undergraduate education in art & design. What makes education at Srishti unique is its constant response to market needs as well as social potential in equal measure. Another dimension that makes Srishti special is its placing technology along with community and creativity into its vision – at Srishti, technology is not only a means to an end but a key cultural phenomenon that is intensely investigated and playfully experimented with. Any academic institution must be constantly involved in pushing the frontiers of knowledge. This is the core that attracts quality scholars, which in turn defines the standard of everyday pedagogy. With this belief, Srishti has initiated a widespread faculty-driven research activity that is producing a fascinating range of ideas & innovations.
