    This full-time, permanent position is based at Triathlon New Zealand’s National High Performance Training Centre, Cambridge.

     

    The successful candidate will lead and innovate the scientific support for Triathlon New Zealand’s high performance programme in physiology, analysis and technology resulting in a positive impact on triathlete performance. Activities will involve: 1) developing innovative monitoring systems to assess training programme adaptation and performance, 2) assisting coaches with planning and evidence-based prescription of training, and 3) implementing world-leading research that improves the team’s high performance practice.

     

    To succeed in this role you will have a passion for high performance sport, and an understanding of the needs of elite athletes and coaches.  You will be qualified to at least the MSc level or equivalent in physiology or performance monitoring with experience working with national teams.  You will be a strong team player with excellent communication skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with coaches, athletes and support staff.
