      ASSISTANT OR ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR MOTOR CONTROL

      The Indiana University School of Public Health-Bloomington invites applications for Assistant or Associate Professor in the Department of Kinesiology. The Department is seeking an assistant/associate professor in exercise science. Qualifications include earned doctorate in motor control or related field, publications in appropriate journals, and demonstrated ability to attract external funding. Preference will be given to candidates with a trans-disciplinary approach to research with a specific emphasis in neural control of human movement, human aging, rehabilitation science, electromyography and/or electrophysiological signal processing as
      well as other public health issues. There is excellent potential for collaboration with the Program in Neuroscience, a multidisciplinary research program at Indiana University. Major responsibilities include: maintain a high profile research program in human motor control, publish research in refereed journals, acquire external funding to support research activities, advise graduate students, direct master's theses and doctoral dissertations, and teach courses in motor control and related topics.

      Salary is competitive depending upon qualifications and experience. This is a tenured 10-month academic appointment with a preferred start date of January 9, 2013. Review of applications will begin October 8, 2012 and continue until position is filled.
