ANNOUNCEMENT OF FACULTY POSITION
POSITION: Assistant professor, lecturer rank, non-tenure track position in
the Department of Exercise and Sport Science. Appointment to commence
August, 2001. The position is renewable each year.
QUALIFICATIONS: A doctorate in exercise science or related field is
required. Evidence of interest in and success with college teaching also
required. Applicant must demonstrate skill with the integration of
spreadsheet applications and presentation graphics software in student
RESPONSIBILITIES: Teaching undergraduate courses in the core curriculum of
the Department of Exercise and Sport Science. The ability to direct student
learning about the health benefits of physical activity in a writing
intensive course is essential. Other possible areas for teaching
involvement include: introductory material in exercise science, exercise
physiology, exercise prescription, and elements of exercise adherence. At
the graduate level, a successful candidate will be involved in the
preparation of graduate students for careers in college teaching.
SALARY: Competitive and commensurate with qualifications of the applicant.
