Group Description

Spool knitting is a delight that many of us remember from childhood. But! There is unlimited creative potential in spool knitting. Spool knitting is any form of looping yarns over pegs, so cordmakers and round looms are also part of spool knitting. You can call it French knitting, spooling, corking, horsetails, whatever, just join in and have a wonderful time! List Mom, Noreen Crone-Findlay, has written books about spool knitting and often blogs about the joys of spool knitting, so she will share her love of spool knitting with the list. She still posts designs and patterns, but has handed over the reins to the wonderful Maz, the Queen of spool knitter collecting and total delight! Please feel free to join in with your spoolknitting projects, ideas, comments, suggestions, thoughts and whatever else that strikes your fancy about spoolknitting! Joy!

Hello everyone!
My name is Marian Clark (Maz) and I am from Australia. Whether spool knitting with thread or wire, remember that wonderful things can also be created when it is combined with other crafts and embellishments. Do show us your photos of your spool knitted projects - we love to admire your work! Any Q's - just ask! Do you also collect spool knitters? Some of you may know me already as the crazy spool knitter (collector) lady - there are links to where you can also find me. Files, Links, and the Database, are regularly added to so do check there. Happy Spoolknitting fun!
