      indestructible - and also catalyze the destruction of ozone [03] to
      molecular oxygen [O2] - which is why they are such an environmental
      nuisance.

      Freon-12 [previous primary refrigerant of a/c units]is dichloro difluoro
      ethane [C2H2Cl2F2]. But there are many others . . . .
