Group Description

Scientific discoveries have been, and are, and will be, at the forefront of changes in everyday life. Man with his enthusiastic mission to understand the nature of life and the forces uniting it, has been the propelling impetus for the phenomenon of science to occur. From the days of Sir Isaac Newton who proposed the basic laws of motion and gravity in the 17th century to the discovery of structure of DNA in 20th century by Dr. James D Watson and Dr. Francis Crick and further on, we experienced a spate of scientific discoveries that revolutionized our understanding of life. This continuing race of evolution in sciences is the backbone of our existence and is the distinctive character of the human race. The "Souvenirs of Science" group is created in honor of all those eminent intellectuals without whose contributions our life today would not be the same. Thus said, the objective of this group is to create a web of knowledge pertinent to science and technology by bringing together all the different discoveries and inventions experienced in the branches of the so called, "unified science". Discoveries and developments in biology, physics, chemistry, geology, astronomy, sociology etc, will be networked on one stand. We encourage members to participate in this activity to help share the knowledge of science happening across the globe with the entire world. We consider the information shared through this group would be purely for educational purposes and to enlighten ourselves. Finally the group motto is to encourage abridging the knowledge barriers among the people with varied backgrounds; although we may not be the direct contributors of the events, sharing the knowledge with others at least makes us live our life as a revolution and not just a process of evolution.
