      Sun March 6th

Morning walk at Frensham Great Pond. Leader Barbara Cakebread-Brown 6
miles, 5 or 6 stiles, nice scenery in the vicinity of the Great Pond, one
      fairly easy hill.
      Start 10.00am

Parking, at car park north west of Frensham Great Pond, off Bacon lane,
which is reached from the A287 south of Farnham. Grid ref: SU844405

Lunch: two options - those wanting a pub break can decamp to the Holly Bush
in Frensham, which is a 5 minute drive away and is friendly and good
-address: The Holly Bush, Shortfield Common Road, Frensham, Surrey GU10 3BJ

(NB the nearest hostelry is the nearby Hotel Frensham Pond, but it is not
      necessarily friendly to walkers).

The alternative is the refreshments and snacks at the car park, which
Barbara says are very good... especially the massive bacon rolls!

remains, bridleways, and farmland. A few hills but nothing strenuous, some
        good views.

        Start 9.45am Note earlier start!

Parking, around the green at Elstead, grid ref SU907 436or if full go south
along Thursley Road towards the church. Meet on the Green for a 9.45 start,
but if you are parked further down we will be walking along Thursley Rd and
then Rt just before the Church, so pick us up as we walk along if you want.

Lunch at The Woolpack, Milford Rd, Elstead, GU8 6HD (just east of the
green). I will need to give the pub an idea of numbers so please let me know

            Dear SWSW walkers,

Just a reminder of this Sunday's Walk - details below. Hope to see you there
            - forecast cold but hopefully dry!

Sunday 2nd Dec - Figure of 8 around Hindhead

This will be our first visit to this area since the A3 Hindhead tunnel
opened, and will give us a chance to see how the old A3 route has been
renaturalised. It will give a huge walking area without the noise and
distraction of fast roads, and promises to be a lovely walk.

            Leader: Roger Smith

Start Point: The National Trust cafe car park, Hindhead. GR SU890358. (just
opposite the Devils Punchbowl hotel, details below) There is a charge for
non NT members but there are also a few free places nearby in the road.

Morning: 10:00 am start, 5 mile circuit of the Devil's Punchbowl. Hilly.

            Lunch: 12:30 Devil's Punchbowl Hotel. 52 London Road, Hindhead, GU26 6AG

Afternoon: 1:30 start, 5 miles via Weydown Common and Keffolds. Some steep
            gradients.

Please note some extra parking suggestions too - thanks to Jaqueline Redman
            for this information:

members, apart from some free road parking along the cul de sac road in
which is sited both the NT cafe and the Punchbowl Hotel, there is also a
free car park c.100 yards down the Hindhead Road and on the left. The
