I have two Zivan NG3 chargers in my 1992 Solectria Force.? They have an over- temperature limit of 55 degrees C.? If the ambient temperature in the battery compartment reaches this temperature, they stop charging, start flashing a yellow light and make annoying beeping sounds.? This has happened this week when the local temperatures exceeded 100 degrees F in Boise.
I would not be surprised if your charger had a similar feature.

Subject: [solectria_ev] Battery charger identification?
I have this battery charger in a 97 Solectria. Does anyone know what
make and model this might be?
As I mentioned in an earlier post, I have noticed on a really hot day
the charger will not charge until the ambient temperature comes down.
I don't know if this is a battery charger feature or something to do
with the batteries. If I can identify this charger, maybe I can find
out more information about it regarding this.
