      Another few things to check:

      Make sure you have the encoder counts per revolution and number of poles set correctly.

      For the standard AC55, it should be 4 poles, and 48 counts per rev. (However there are some variations out there).

      Make sure the motor is wired correctly, if the controller is setup for DELTA, and you have the motor wired for WYE, you could see these issues.

      My Solectria to DMOC Adapter was designed to take the standard Solectria interface and convert it to the CAN packets to drive the DMOC.

      It was for my Dad, since he wanted to upgrad his Mini Cooper from a Solectria UMOC445 to the DMOC645.

      It is not ment to be generic, it is a drop in replacement for his car. Thus, I don't see them as being in competition.

      I have not sold any, just gave one to my Dad, and he is happy with it.

      It is easier to make one customer happy... generic devices have to make many people happy... And they always want just one more I/O.

      I put a bunch of other stuff on it just to play with it, like the Wi-Fi module, USB, and the micro SD card, since I had never worked with those before.

      Keep in mind, this is my hobby, not my job. Hobbies are for fun, jobs are so you can afford the hobbies. :)

      It looks like you are never getting more than 331Nm of torque so the DMOC does seem to still be trying to respect the 280Nm threshold with some wiggle room. So, I think you have it set probably and the DMOC is respecting it. But, it certainly looks like somehow the New Eagle ECU is trying to ask for way more than that. This does make me suspect that something is odd in their ECU. That may or may not be contributing to your troubles. If the ECU is having psychotic episodes then you're obviously going to have a bad time.

      If you were having encoder troubles it would mostly be at low speed. The biggest sign of encoder problems is rocky starts. The DMOC actually probably nearly ignores the encoder once you get up to 1000 RPM and you are pulling 100A. At that point an induction motor tends to be controlled based on current instead of encoder position. You seem to be saying that you have to be careful how you start out so maybe this is an issue but with the ECU in question it becomes a little hard to know which is the issue.

      If the New Eagle ECU ends up being more trouble than it is worth you have options. I believe I might have mentioned that I'm one of the people behind the GEVCU project. I believe your DMOC445 to likely be first gen and use a different canbus comm scheme than the second gen devices that I currently support but I've got the gen1 documents and can support that too. Also, Wolf, who has also posted in this thread, makes an ECU for the DMOC645. This sort of makes the two of us competitors but that's OK. I'm sure I don't have to tell anyone on this mailing list that he's a very smart and helpful guy and could no doubt also support your DMOC445 with his device. So, if all else fails I'm sure one of us could get you fixed up with new hardware. But, hopefully New Eagle can help you get to the bottom of what is going on. I'm sorry to hear that they tend to be difficult to work with. I suspected as much having talked to them on several occasions.

      Par file is attached if anyone wants to check it out. Honestly there are
      only a few variables that we have changed since it came from Azure (mostly
      power and CAN related variables). The New Eagle ECU has 280 Nm for the
      rated motor torque and seems to only send commands for torque not exceeding
      280 Nm. Shot them an email to see if anything was wrong with the code on
      their end (it has been in the past).
