      1. XiG Summit Workstation (2.4?) Series update for Solaris supports
Matrox Parahelia and 3Dlabs Wildcat VP series with OpenGL 1.4:
      ftp://ftp.xig.com/pub/Summit/solaris/workstation/Summit_WX-Solaris.txt

      2. Matrox unleashes latest drivers (v4.1) and source code:
      ftp://ftp.matrox.com/pub/mga/archive/linux/2004/readme_mgadriver_4_1.t
      xt

      3. ATI announced AMD64/EM64T drivers for X 6.8.x:
      http://www.rage3d.org/board/showpost.php?p=1333407704&postcount=159

      4. Nvidia still leads the pack in driver features for Linux/Unix and
      AMD64/EM64T/IA32:
      http://www.nvidia.com/object/linux_display_amd64_1.0-6629.html

      5. 3Dlabs mainly uses XiG.com for the Wildcat VP/Wildcat4/GV* video
drivers for Linux/Solaris. There are no consumer available video
drivers for Linux/Solaris for the Wildcat Realizm series

Note: Read the XiG Summit document carefully as for Solaris 10b72 ->
10b74 usage and other related issues. Also read this link for XiG
      older laptop summit (v.2.2-19) series:

      ftp://ftp.xig.com/pub/Summit/solaris/laptop/Summit_LX-Solaris.txt

The new video drivers coming out mainly support:
      - AMD64/EM64T (IA-32 64-bit extensions)
      - OpenGL Shader language (GLSL)
      - OpenGL 1.4 (XiG/Matrox)/1.5 (Nvidia/ATI)
      - X.Org 6.8.x

Note: Other features for specific vendors are: >=512MB framebuffers,
      and AGP/PCIe stability issues.

Hope that helps even things out,
      Ken Mays @ EarthLink, Inc.
