The Kracht II group comet found by B.Zhou September 06 is the fourth
return of a known object (which has had no SOHO number at his
previous return in 2007).

- Hi All,
If you study the longer proton streaks in LASCO C3 today (following the
03:59 UT M9 flare), you'll notice that there is a definite preferential
direction to them: roughly 10 o'clock to 4 o'clock (or vice versa).
I suspect this has more to do with the physical location of the CCD
array relative to nearby parts in the LASCO camera (spallation) than
it does the actual proton flux direction pre-SOHO encounter. --Rob
