Re: [softrock40] Ensemble RXTX and Linux
- The easiest app to get going is quisk - I recently did a remote setup of quisk-3.6.6 on Mint 14 for a guy here in the UK -- x86_64 laptop, x86_64 desktop and Xf-Fi USB Surround Pro.
I'll send you 3.6.6 via email later.
Next one to try is ghpsdr3-alex http://napan.ca/ghpsdr3/index.php/Main_Page

Hello everyone. I have been having great fun with the rig. It is all boxed up nicely, looks great and works even better. Had great QSOs on SSB, AM, JT65, etc. and have been playing with WSPR as well. It was a pleasure to build and great to operate. Many thanks for all the fun!
On to my query... I have a netbook that I am running Linux Mint on and would like to experiment with the Ensemble RXTX and this software environment. I have quite a bit of experience with Linux but was wondering what folks find is their favorite interface/application for the Ensemble on Linux. While flash is a certainly a very nice thing, I am really looking, for obvious reasons, for efficiency. I have had XP on this netbook before and have used a variant of PSDR for other rigs that I have built (Genesis G3020, G59, G11, SR v6.3, etc.) so I feel that it should have enough horse power to get the job done.
At any rate, if you are a Linux person and have some valuable input I certainly would be most appreciative.
