      Perhaps you are thinking of the Mobo project.
      It uses the 8574 chip which has a DIP switch for setting the I2C address so that commands to it allow switching 8 filters using a ULN2803 chip to drive the relays.

      Keep in mind that the mobo kit requires either a Softrock RXTX 6.3 or the SR63ng kit also. It looks like Yoyodyne has the SR63ng kits available. Dave KB2YWT
