      Hi,
I've posted this a couple of times and its been poohood.
there is a very simple way of soldering down SMD components without
      being an octopus.

Apply rework flux to the pads, (rework flux pen ), be generous
Clean your soldering iron bit. Ideally close to a 1mm tip.
put a wee blob of solder on the tip of the iron.
Pick up the SMB component with SHORT , preferably with
      flat tips and
HOLD the component on the pads.
Touch the junction of the component and the pad so heat is applied to
      each.
Watch as the solder flows underneath the component, remove the iron
from the joint and let go of the component with the tweezers.
Now just solder normally the other pad /legs.
