OK, "7z e  Install_CFGSR_V2.3.msi" extracts it but there are no dll's or executable files there.
Under Crossover Office "cxrun Install_CFGSR_V2.3.msi" offered to repair and said it had but the real problem was libusb0.dll missing.

I think that is how I installed it originally.

      I copied libusb0_x86.dll and libusb0.sys to ~/.cxoffice/winxp/drive_c/windows/system/ and system32 as libusb0.dll and libusb0.sys
This time cfgsr comes up but can't open the si570 - "USB device not found".

      testlibusb-win.exe  returns no devices:
      DLL version:    1.2.5.0
      Driver version:    -1.-1.-1.-1

      bus/device  idVendor/idProduct

      --------------------------------------------
I'll try to get back to it later.

      Sid,

      Found this on google

With Ubuntu Linux and p7zip installed, rename the .msi file to .7z to open it with the Archive manager.

A google search for SDRLL.dll turns up nothing. Where to get? I got libusb-win32-bin-1.2.5.0.zip and placed the .dll and .sys files in ~/.wine/windows/system and ~/.wine/windows/system32.
Basically I'm not a Windows person though I have programs like Hamcalc, Elsie, freepcb, schemedit, un_dipfree_en.exe_15033, Rocky and Winrad installed, except the last 2 have a problem with sound.

The guy at Codeweavers had exactly the same distro installation, hardware, etc. but sound worked for him and we never got to the cause. Going back some years all that worked fine with Windows Media Player.

I'll have to dig further having looked at the errors again - need to install libusb and SDR.dll.

The only SDR.dll I have around is for WSPR, I don't know if that is what's needed and where it should be put for CFGSR.

I don't know whether this is supposed to work or not. Wine has always been a bit of a crap shoot for me.

Can you confirm that the SRDLL.dll is installed and accessible to CFGSR.exe?

Same under openSUSE with wine or Crossover Office. It doesn't even throw up any error messages.

Clicking on CFGSR under Wine on Ubuntu makes the busy symbol circle for a few seconds, but it does not open the CFGSR window.
