Voltages, with respect to regular ground, are the nominal values per R13 and R14 test values, along with the voltage test points for Uo5.

      Set up for test:

      Tune Tab: Set, 7.04 mhz

Test Values:  QSE Clk 0= 21.123

                    QSE Clk 1= 21.123

                    QSD Clk 0= 21.123

                    QSD Clk 1= 21.123

Does anyone have any explanation why my frequencies arn't nominal 7.04 like the auther's??

        Hi Tom,

Are you using a freq counter?  If so, they respond to harmonics.  The QSD clocks are square wave which have 1st, 3rd, 5th, 7th,... harmonics.

Some freq counters have a LowPass button to help prevent this (sometimes depending on the rolloff).

Mike Thanks for the reply. I m using an MFJ HF/UHF/VHF #MFJ-369 SWR ANALYZER. I will read the instruction and see if there is a lowpass function. At least

Thanks for the reply.  I'm using an MFJ HF/UHF/VHF #MFJ-369 SWR ANALYZER.

I will "read the instruction" and see if there is a lowpass function.

At least now I will be able to continue to the next section to build.

          Thanks again
          Tom
