        The BPF only allows signals through that you want to hear so you will hear
        lots that you do not want to hear.
        Depending on the Softrock model the BPF also contains the input transformer.

        Possibly but it still needs matching and an input transformer.

        The Softrock is SDR with the minimum of components, if you try to omit any
        then it will work very very poorly.
