      Measured after the LPF at the dummy load.
      The signal after the LPF looks clean.

        is driving the EB63 and when it (the S/R) starts to go non-linear +
        how much output power you see from the S/R and out of the EB63 just
        before it goes non-linear.

          The pep rating of the eb63 is 200W, so lots of headroom there. But i would
          rather get the other amp previously mentionned in the thread for the SR if
          it's to be used on air.

          Myself i got "in love" with the 600w mosfet amp, but i cant figure out
          where to get the 50V 20A power supply for it. Best idea so far is to
          modyfy an old arc welder. Would make a great addition to the sdr1k ...

            If you would like to build one, I have a circuit (8Meg jpg) I just
            scanned from RadCom April 1989 ... works fine. You may be able to find a
            source for a suitable transformer (45V-0-45V 750VA) - may be the arc
            welder transformer would do nicely.
            It uses 2 darlingtons as pass transistors, just lucky that a friend had
            some months earlier given me some MJ4034's which turned out to be
            excellent substitutes for the BDX67's. I suppose any high power NPN
            darlingtons would do.
            I built mine going way back then and added a 28V PS in the same case to
            supply the EB104 RX/TX vacuum relays.

              Hi Cesco,

              For my EB104 MOSFET PA, I use a switch mode 50V 25A PSU from Harmer &
              Simmmons. These PSU's are designed for telecoms operations and have
              very low noise. The model I use is an old obsolete one, SM1350. The
              nominal output voltage is 48V but you can adjust it to 50V.

              The current model that you can buy is SM1600, ie 1.6kW or 30A output.

              In case you get "in love" later with AR347, I use two of the SM1350's
              in parallel (with bridging diodes) to provide 50V at 50A as the PSU
              when I want to go full power. Usually I just connect one of the
              SM1350's to run it at 600W PEP.

                I will try the "Sid Boyce" way first, i have 2 arc welders i never use
                since i got the mig welder, so it doesent hurt to slaughter one of
                them.

                I would get 2 24v 20A switching supplies on ebay and put them in series. I got a couple for 2 different microwave amps that need 26V at 20 amps. They adjust up

                  20 amps. They adjust up that high in voltage and run great. very small
                  and light too... They were pretty cheap too.
