Subject: Re: [softrock40] SoftRock kit shipment status as of 3/15Hi Rolf,The Rocky 3.x serial interface module kit is for use with the Rocky 3.4 program to control PTT input to the RXTXv6.2 board from the PC serial port. Also it provides paddles input to the Rocky 3.4 program via serial port lines for near QSK keying with a software keyer in Rocky 3.4. The serial interface module will also work with some of the other SDR programs. Many PCs do not have a serial port but many inexpensive USB to serial modules work well with the serial interface to Rocky 3.4.The kit price is $5 for US/Canada and $6 for DX where postage costs are included in the kit prices. Thanks and 73,Tony KB9YIG----- Original Message -----From: SM0YQCSent: Saturday, March 15, 2008 10:00 AMSubject: Re: [softrock40] SoftRock kit shipment status as of 3/15
I am new to this SoftRock thing. I have ordered a 40/80 kit.
But what is the Rocky 3.x serial interface module kit?
Do I need that?
I will use my SoftRock on SSB with a Microsoft XP computer
with an onboard Realtek AC'97 Audio card and an additional
SoundBlaster Live card.
