Subject: [softrock40] USB I2C Interface board files

      Good Evening All,

The updated files for the USB I2C Interface board are now in the USB
I2C Interface board folder in the files area.

Files > USB I2C Interface board

The board map file includes some brief notes on building the board.

This afternoon I built an example of the board to test the paddles
input and PTT control line output functions. The paddles input when
used with Rocky 3.6 works very well with no noticeable latency at 30
WPM which is about as fast as I can go on a good day.

The USB I2C Interface board used with Rocky 3.6 software could find
additional application with non-SDR rigs as a keyer where Rocky would
process audio from the rig for additional signal filtering. (Line-out
audio would need to be processed to give a keying signal for the rig
and images would need to be ignored in the spectrum display.) Also,
the USB I2C board, again used with Rocky 3.6, would make a fairly low
      cost USB code practice oscillator.

An additional 40 USB I2C kits were mailed this morning, August 30,
which brings the total number of USB I2C kits mailed to 80.

      Thanks and 73,
      Tony KB9YIG
