As a final check, you could try with a live linux system and see if it recognizes it. Get a live system from ubuntu, put it on a USB stick and boot from there.

I received the new chip today (quick delivery!) and replaced it, but no joy on Win 7 machine. Also tried to connect through powered USB2 hub. but no luck. I

Sell! July 97 QEX AD9850 based DDS PCB only.

Not softrock but maybe of interest to someone here. PCB from FAR circuits for the AD9850 based DDS VFO article in July 1997 QEX. This is a double sided board.
