Actually, those two characters are the UTF-8 Encoding for an a-umlat, the
other end just isn't iterpreting them properly :)

Subject: [soaplite] How can I transmit german umlauts?

      Hello there,

I Have the problem, that when I try to send german umlauts, most of
the times I get strange characters on the wire:

      <Text xsi:type="xsd:string">Gebäude 1,Abschnitt 1,Etagen 0EG bis
      6OG</Text>

      which should be

      <Text xsi:type="xsd:string">Gebäude 1,Abschnitt 1,Etagen 0EG bis
      6OG</Text>

      Any suggestions?

      Andreas
