I had to use the SOAP Toolkit as well.

The WSDL generated from Axis 1.0 was using the apache.org w3c.dom
element type. The WSDL.exe generator in .NET could not come up with an
accurate match for the type. I had no control over the Axis 1.0 WSDL so
I ended up using the SOAP Toolkit...

You could have overcome this by writing some custom Extensions but then
I would have had to have my clients install them and do some custom
      configuration. *yuck*

      Oh well...

I like to develop a VB SOAP Client which calls apache Soap service
(deployed thru Axis) written in Java(running at tomcat).i am using
      the MS SOAP ToolKit 3.0.

This Web service accepts string and Date type parameter and returns
Complex Data type(Array list containg user defined data type. Anyone
please post the sample code for VB Client handling Complex
      Datatype for MS SOAP ToolKit

      Cheers
      Suman Kumar
