      VeriSign, IBM, Microsoft and RSA, authors of the
      WS‑SecureConversation and WS‑Trust specifications, are hosting a
      2-day, hands-on Interop Workshop on November 18-19, 2003


      and a 1-day Feedback Workshop on the WS-Federation specification on
      November 20, 2003.

      People are welcome to attend either one or both of these workshops as
      long they meet the requirements outlined below.





      In order to attend these events, the attached feedback agreement MUST
      be reviewed and signed


      by each attendee - either before or at the workshop registration. The
      purpose of the feedback agreement is to ensure that everyone involved
      in influencing the specifications is committed to


      keeping the specification royalty free. If signed before, please fax
      to ws-interop at 415-365-0223.





      The 2-day interop workshop is an ad-hoc, open forum for companies who
      have WS‑SecureConversation and/or WS‑Trust implementations based on
      the WS‑SecureConversation and WS‑Trust specifications published on 18
      Dec 2002, and who want to test their implementations with other
      companies' implementations. Attendees will need to bring their own
      laptops, their implementations and any other tools they feel would be
      needed; testing among all attendees will occur throughout the day.
      Interoperability scenarios document is attached for implementers to
      be prepare for the Interop Workshop, and progress of interoperating
      implementations will be tracked throughout the event.





      The 1-day Feedback Workshop is an open forum for specification
      authors to share background information on the design of the
      specifications and to receive feedback and for software vendors and
      other interested parties to discuss their ideas about the
      practicality of implementing these and related Web Services
      specifications.





      Both of these workshops will be hosted by VeriSign Inc. in Mountain

      An Ethernet network will be provided for the workshops, but no
      wireless connectivity will be available during the events. Breakfast,
      lunch, and afternoon snacks will be served on all 3 days, but
      participants will be responsible for their own dinner arrangements.





      As with previous workshops, these events are open to anyone who
      desires to participate. However, participants for the 2-day Interop
      Workshop on 18-19 Nov need to bring an implementation based on the
      WS‑SecureConversation / WS‑Trust specifications.
