Subject: [soapbuilders] Soap Request Content Type & ASP.NET

If I set my HTTP Content Type as exampled in the Soap Doc:

A.2 Sample Encoding of Response [1]

Content-Type: text/xml; charset="utf-8"

I get the following back from ASP.NET

Server Microsoft-IIS/5.0
Date Mon, 29 Jul 2002 17:51:56 GMT
X-Powered-By ASP.NET
X-AspNet-Version 1.0.4221
Cache-Control private
Content-Type text/xml; charset=utf-8
Content-Length 504
status 500
statusMessage Internal Server Error.

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<soap:Envelope xmlns:soap="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/"
xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"
xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema">
<soap:Body>
<soap:Fault>
<faultcode>soap:Client</faultcode>
<faultstring>Server found request content type to be 'text/xml ;
charset="utf-8"', but expected 'text/xml'.</faultstring>
<detail/>
</soap:Fault>
</soap:Body>
</soap:Envelope>

and MS .NET Remoting gives me:

Server Microsoft-IIS/5.0
Date Mon, 29 Jul 2002 17:52:56 GMT
X-Powered-By ASP.NET
X-AspNet-Version 1.0.4221
Cache-Control private
Content-Type text/plain; charset=utf-8
Content-Length 106
status 500
statusMessage Server encountered an internal error. To get more info turn on
customErrors in the server's config file.

Cheers,
Fred
