      got it working, but i noticed that the format of the content-id's
      appears to be incorrect, they're missing the < >, e.g. I get a
      response that starts

      HTTP/1.0 200 OK
      Content-Type: multipart/related;
      boundary=880603926.1012156080429.iona-xmlbus-soap.dkulp.duckbill;
      type="text/xml";
      start="200160022.1012156080427.iona-xmlbus.dkulp.duckbill"
      Server: IONA iPortal Application Server
      Content-Length: 1741
      Date: Sun, 27 Jan 2002 18:28:00 GMT

      --880603926.1012156080429.iona-xmlbus-soap.dkulp.duckbill
      Content-Id: 200160022.1012156080427.iona-xmlbus.dkulp.duckbill
      Content-Type: text/xml; charset=utf-8
      Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit

      based on RFC2387 and RFC822 shouldn't Content-Id be ?
      Content-Id: <200160022.1012156080427.iona-xmlbus.dkulp.duckbill>

      and start changed to include the < > as well ?

      Apache SOAP 2.2 also appears to be wrong, it puts the <> on the
      content-Id header, but not in the start attribute.

      Cheers
