There were about 5 minutes that I had to completely depower the 10m.It was a typical Camas thing, where the storms hang on the west edge, with blue skies above. Then, boom one brakes loose and comes rolling through with high winds and horizontal snow. Its always a good Idea to keep an eye on the ridge, so ya don't get spanked! The trick with the foil kite is to set it up straight down wind, putting some snow along the trailing edge.----- Original Message -----From: Ryan WaitSent: Friday, December 15, 2006 11:19 PMSubject: [snowkiteidaho] friday's mini storm
well it was something! thanks again for the launch darrel, those dam foils!! maybe someday i will get used to them. well looking at the forecast for the next ten days i didnt see any new snow coming in, and no temps warm enough to soften the crust. looks like the crusty crap will be there for a while. but i sure hope that im wrong. until the next epic.

Date: Fri, 15 Dec 2006 19:08:31 -0700Friday session plenty of wind but the snow was a bit crusty. serious work out. 5 kiters got to enjoy a temporary white out with winds in the upper 20's. Oh what fun!Saturday still looks possible will wait until 11:30 to leave. I want to see wind in Fairfield before making the drive. still limited to Featherville road flats area because not much snow was added.Eddy863-6966
