Re: [snowkiteidaho] Lake Lowell
- I used to Duck hunt from a boat that we drug across the ice and used an electric trolling motor to get around. We stayed in the side of the lake where we kite, away from the preserve. We were checked by fish and game numerous times and were never questioned about the wet boat we had with us. I hope that there won't be an issue kiting and windsurfing there now that it is 2009, but I don't want to push it or create problems. Any thoughts or ideas?Westy----- Original Message -----From: Tom von AltenSent: Tuesday, March 03, 2009 8:19 PMSubject: [snowkiteidaho] Lake Lowell

The FWS ( http://www.fws. gov/deerflat/ fishing.htm ) says:I'm curious about the temp of Lake Lowell, that place was so fun last year I can't wait to go back! I'll bet it's doable soon. Can I fish from a boat? The lake is open to motorized boating between April 15 and September 30. Boat-launching facilities are available at the Lower Dam Recreation Area, Access No. 1, Access No. 7, and the east and west ends of the Upper Dam. Launching facilities are subject to closure due to low water levels. During the non-boating season, October 1 through April 14, human-powered boats may be used, but only in Fishing Areas A and B, 200 yards in front of the Upper and Lower Dams.____________ _
