Good news group ...now that the season is nearly over...but let’s not let that stop the momentum!  We have been approved for weather station at the RV Hut.

I need to fill in the blanks on a document headed my way. I know I was informally nominated to president of BSA group but I just wanted to confirm what standing I have.

I will also need to get additional names/officers in group. If everyone is OK with my handling of this project I will continue with it, even if my position is temporary.

Once the documents are signed do we make the investment on equipment or do we postpone until Spring? We will also need to decide how the donation financing is managed? Do we do it the easy way, cash? Or the full blown office and treasury and banking and blah blah blah?

Please voice your opinion, if you have one. I have saved everyone's information on pledges and it looks like $25 per person will cover it. If more is collected then needed, everyone who donated shares the left over.

      Thanks,
      Eddy

        Hey Eddy,
Yes, you're the man...ditto on Steve's note!  Also, we want to publicly tell you that we support you and all your efforts with this site and the kiteboarding in Idaho.  Maybe what a lot of people don't think about is what you do for people like Scott and myself...newcomers coming into the scene, teaching us, giving us the what's up...helping with kite equipment, repairing of kite equipment, rescuing and on and on and on.  We would be lost without you here and we both truly mean that...thank you soooo much for all you help and effort.

Its my experience that whenever monies are involved it is best to appoint more than one person towards managing and allow those who are investing or contributing to vote on who will fill those positions. Inevitably as we have all seen over and over people have emotions and look for a means to express them. No matter how large or small the goal maybe their is always someone who will be butt hurt and want to make sure everyone else knows this. By having the proccess governed by the individuals involved you may avoid the he said she said which is intrinsic within the species of Man(man meaing man and woman for you Politically correct Monkeys).
By the way I think I joined to late to be part of the contribution so if its not to late I would like to donate my part and be one of the winey monkeys let me know how many bannanas and who to make it out to.

              Hello Eddy,

Thanks for all your hard work on this.  Let's get together for a beer sometime and discuss.  I'm sure by late winter, there will be even better, less expensive equipment than now.   I'm good for $25.00 to $30.00.

Sounds like I have missed out on the best week of the year at LP.  I just glued my 17m Fuel back together.  Hoping the Phoenix can rise from the asses tomorrow or this weekend.

              -ciao

P.S.  I noticed on kiteboarding.com's web page that Jeff Howard claims his favorite kite is the Slingshot Rev.  Did you guys ever talk about why he likes it so much?

I'm thinking this 17m fuel is about at the end of it's rope.  I really like the 14.5 Ion2 that Ryan let me ride, but I'd really love to try a Rev.  Do you think you'll ever get a Rev over our way?  I know Jack Harrison says he can set me up with a Rev demo in the gorge, but that's a long drive.  Just curious?

                Thanks,
                Eddy

Subject: License to install weather station comm line.

Eddy:  Just a heads up.  I have received approval for you to install the weather station.  You will have to put the line in metal conduit underground and take photos of it to provide the project and assist them in getting it positioned properly on their segment map.  Neither is a big deal.  I am putting the license document together for you to sign and return.  I need to know asap exactly how the license will read:  ie.  The Secretary of the Army hereby grants to__________ ______(Boise Sailors assn?) a license for yada yada yada.  Secondly, I need the name and title of the person, officer, officers, who can OFFICIALLY (in writing) sign on behalf of your organization.  Lastly, I will need a good mailing address to send the documents to.  If all this is confusing, give me a call and I will muddy the waters further.  ;>)  Looks like we are on a roll.  Get back to me as soon as you can and I will get the documents to you by next week.  That is the plan.  Dave.
