The absolute best buggying is Alvord desert in Eastern OR.  It’s about 3.5 hrs.  We usually go every Memorial and Labor day, but I am going to miss it this weekend.  Awesome hotsprings there too.

      Nick,

      Welcome to the group.

I started flying CV (Columbia village) 12yrs ago.  It is definitey the best wind spot close to city. There are dry lakes around, & some high desert locations.

Feel free to call if you need details or gear.

flown simplot field yet (surprising, i know!), only been learning
slowly on my kite. By the way, i'm new to the sport, i didn't even
know we had this many people who love to kite!!! Hope to see ya around.
