RE: [snowkiteidaho] Re: sunday session
The 15m manta is Awesome! It flies so nice and smooth with plenty of power when you want it. BIG hang times. I had some issues at launch. Apparently, when I killed it in the nuking conditions last time, it sucked a knot through one of the pulleys on both sides so it wouldn’t fly right. Eddy finally came along and we figured out what was going wrong. Then the party started. Yes, it was a perfect day for it.
Sorry you missed out. I’m sure you made the right choice though.
Ya Ya but how did you like that new kite ? sounds like it was a ideal day for it .

Yes, truly an epic day! We, Eddy Dave R. and I kited in the snowmo park for a couple hours. Dave bailed, after finding the groove and tearing up wind. Eddy and I were going to take a break, but decided to take Brian’s advice and “Ride It Out.” We switched over to the South side to get away from the HUGE herd of snowmobilers that were trashing the hills. After a little screwing around, we decided to see if we could make it up to double barrel or the Hysterical site. After about 2 hours, we had made it 3 miles up the road, having traveled an estimated 20 miles. The wind started to die, so we headed back down wind to the truck. Turns out we were about a mile short of the pull out by the camera where J was. Next time, maybe we’ll have to press on and get a ride back… I forgot how wild the country gets SW of the snowmo park. It was an awesome day.
and the snow was awesome... that last storm covered lots of sage.. VIDS to be released
