must have been the night of pork roasts! we had one, too! the
sesame seed asian one, though modified. hubby won't go for sesame
seeds. would like the mango recipe if you have time. sounds gooood.
here's what i did...
put the pork roast in the crock and added, 1 cup of soy sauce, 1/2
cup (eyeballed) of molasses, 1/4 cup of vinegar, lots of garlic
powder and some cayenne pepper. went way too crazy with the
cayenne. i overestimated the amount. would have been awesome with
some minced onion in there, but i was out.
this came out good. nice and moist and tender. we did end up
shredding it. i would have made a slurry with cornstarch and a bit
of water to thicken up the juices, and served it over rice. i was so
tired last night, i just had some of it with a hunk of french bread.
cooked it an hour and half on high, then low all day.
